Garden Lites Gluten-Free Veggie Muffins
When I first heard about the Garden Lites Gluten-Free Veggie Muffins, I was kind of um…I wasn’t sure about them, if you know what I mean. But, since my doctor told me to try and stay away from Gluten, and I know I don’t get enough vitamins, I thought what the heck, I’ll give it a try.
When they arrived, I opened the boxes and thought that they looked pretty good. So, since I can’t wait for anything, I popped one in the microwave and after 35 seconds, I took it out and let cool slightly and…..the bird started squawking. Whenever, I heat something up in the microwave and it smells good, he will start squawking very loudly to let me know he wants some.
I have to admit, it did smell pretty darn good. I chose the carrot berry to try first. All I can say is…it wasn’t what I was expecting. They were really, really good!
Actually, they were too good! They come in at only 3 Weight Watchers Points Plus each, which is less than some of the Weight Watchers products I have been purchasing. And let’s face it, if you are on WW, you are always looking for things with the least of amount of points. Plus, the bird really enjoyed it too. You know he likes it when he starts squealing when I give it to him, that means he’s excited.
The Garden Lites Veggie Muffins just hit the store shelves in March of this year. Everyone is always on the lookout for a more healthier and convenient option. They are in the frozen section and are available in the five guilt free flavors.
- Veggie Blueberry Oat Muffins are filling and flavorful due to the combination of oats and sweet blueberries.

I love the fact that they are are gluten-free, vegetarian, low in calories, high in fiber and Kosher Parve. Plus, they can be eaten at room temperature for a snack anytime. They will be great when we are on the road and a great alternative to a donut, because I get sweet cravings all the time! The veggie muffins aren’t overly sweet and even if I have two…it’s still less points than a donut! They are also better for my Type 2 Diabetes than a donut.
I was a little nervous to try the corn veggie muffins because I am NOT a fan of cornbread, and that’s what I thought they were. Uh-uh, they are actual corn veggie muffins…with corn like corn on the cob in them. I can’t explain to you how good these are, because you probably think, oh, they can’t be that good…but they are. And you will never just how good they are until you try them for yourself.
I paired them with the Gorton’s Artisan Fillets and had a complete meal for only 10 Weight Watchers Points Plus. And I was full when I was done.
Actual pieces of corn in the Garden Lites Veggie Muffins!
I was not surprised to find the Weight Watchers Points Plus listed on the side of the box. You know those 5 boxes pictured above? Yeah, well…they’re gone! That’s how good they are.
