Since we just shared a Carved Pumpkin Cookie recipe, how about some Candy Corn Hot Chocolate recipe to wash it down with! It’s simple to make and I have included some links to make it easier for you to find the supplies in case you need them.
You can make it candy corn flavored or pumpkin spice flavored depending on your personal tastes. You can make this ahead of time and heat it up or even keep it warm in a crock pot or thermos if you are going to a trunk or treat event.
Recipe:
1 cup Water (for a more creamy texture use milk).
3 heaping tbsp. white chocolate hot cocoa
1 tbsp. Candy Corn Flavoring Oil
If you would like to make these using Pumpkin Spice Flavoring Oil they will look exactly the same
Copper Gel Food Dye
Whipped Cream
Sprinkles
Candy Corn
Directions:
1. In a small to medium saucepan bring water to a boil over medium heat.
2. Once boiling add in flavoring oil of choice and white chocolate hot cocoa.
3. Whisk and keep a close eye on it — this will boil over quickly.
4. Add a small amount of gel food dye to the pan and whisk it in before transferring to cups. It does not take a lot, I just dip a butter knife in and grab a small amount. Gel food dye will go a long way.
5. Once completely mixed together (no visible chunks) remove from heat and allow it to cool for 5 minutes.
6. While it cools grab your stuff! You will need sprinkles, candy corn, and whipped cream.
7. Once cooled transfer to the cups of your choice. Make sure it isn’t steaming because the whipped cream will melt quickly if it is. Apply whipped cream, sprinkles, and candy corn.
8. Stick a straw in and enjoy!
