So, I have always wanted a Bonsai Tree but I was afraid of it because I don’t have a green thumb. While searching the Internet for information on them, I came across The Soothing Company. The Soothing Company offers hundreds of soothing products for your home and office on their website. Everything from outdoor fountains to bonsai trees to wall fireplaces.
I started looking at the Bonsai Tree’s and never realized there were so many different varieties. I though a Bonsai was a Bonsai, one kind, one style, no variations. Boy was I wrong. I finally decided on a Small Gardenia Bonsai Tree. I absolutely love the smell of Gardenia’s and since it was an indoor tree, I could have the smell inside without the hassle of a tree outside.
When I received it, it was in a box very well secured. There were no flowers on it yet but a lot of buds.
I took it out very carefully and set it in the sun. It’s been in the 80’s all week so I set it out back on the patio table. Within a day, I had one flower on it already. Can you see all the buds on it? There must be at least 10.
It smells wonderful. I was actually kind of nervous about taking care of it because I definitely don’t have a green thumb. But it turns out they are relatively easy to care for. The Small Gardenia Bonsai Tree blooms March through June, grows 6 ” – 8″ tall with beautiful white flowers with a wonderful scent.
When you water them, water until the water runs out the bottom. Never let your Bonsai soil dry out completely. You can trim the Bonsai to maintain it’s miniature size. Re potting is necessary every four to five years as their root system grows and becomes pot bound. Other than that you can just enjoy the beautiful scent that it adds to your home. It’s definitely better than air fresheners.

That is cute! I’ve always wanted a bonsai tree, but I’m afraid I would kill it. I’m not good with plants!

Stunning! I am green with envy! Thanks for this helpful review. I love to garden and have houseplants but I wasn’t aware that this type of tree was even available.

I would love to have a bonsai tree too!! My husband has had 2 but killed them both…I guess if I take care of a bonsai tree myself, it might just make it!! 😀 Lovely flower by the way
