Reddi-Wip Strawberry Shortcake
There are many different ways to enjoy fresh strawberries and my favorite way is strawberry shortcake and fresh strawberry pie. Okay, I know I’m supposed to choose only one…but they are both so good. When we go to the Strawberry Festival every year, I usually stock up on the strawberries and freeze them to last throughout the year.
So, first I’m going to go with the fresh strawberry shortcake.
I make strawberry shortcake a lot because for me on Weight Watchers, it’s only 3 Points Plus, and that is for the angel food cake.
Fresh Strawberry Shortcake
- 1 pint fresh strawberries
- 1 angel food cake (I buy Publix brand)
- Reddi-Wip Fat Free Whipped Cream
Each serving of Original, Extra Creamy and Chocolate Reddi-wip has 15 calories.
Each serving of Fat-Free Reddi-wip® is five calories.
Dice strawberries into quarters, mash with fork or pastry cutter, add some water, you can add some sugar if it’s not sweet enough for you, but I usually don’t because the fresh berries are usually sweet.
Then just get your slice of angel food cake, add some Reddi-Wip Fat Free topping and your done. If I have a really sweet tooth, I will add vanilla ice cream, depending on how many WW points I have left for the day.
Fresh Strawberry Pie is also very simple.
Fresh Strawberry Pie Recipe
- 1 pint of fresh strawberries
- 1 graham cracker crust
- container of strawberry glaze
- Reddi-Wip Whipped Topping
If the strawberries are very big, I will cut them in half. Mix strawberries with the container of glaze, pour into pie shell, refrigerate for an hour or two, top with Reddi-Wip whipped topping and enjoy. It doesn’t get any easier than that!
One of the reasons Reddi-wip® sounds, looks, and tastes so good is that it has always been made with real dairy cream—and never hydrogenated oils like some other whipped toppings.
