LeapFrog presents the LeapBand Fit Made Fun Day!
The LeapFrog LeapBand “Fit Made Fun” Day was held Saturday, Sept. 6th. The purpose of it was to get kids moving. Luckily we had great weather. LeapFrog was setting out to break a world record by getting kids to get out and get active. Times have changed and kids are indoors on either watching TV or playing a video game or on the computer. Nothing like when I was young. We were outside playing from morning till night.
The LeapBand is a cool wearable activity tracker that they can program with one of eight virtual pets. It comes with 14 pre loaded challenges but parents can program up to 36. The challenges include things like jump like a frog, crawl like a crab, and jump like a kangaroo. With the challenges, they earn points to play games such as pet boogie and fun run.
The CLIF Bar Zbar Protein are rich in whole grain protein that help the kids’ growing bodies, so kids can keep zipping and zooming along! With delicious flavors like Mint Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter Chocolate, and Chocolate Chip. The kids really seemed to enjoy them and really they aren’t just for kids. Some of the adults enjoyed them too.
The kids had a great time and actually were active for most of the day. The love to earn the points and play the games but didn’t really think about the LeapBand while they were having fun.
The LeapFrog LeapBand is made for ages 4-7 but the little ones and older kids also had a great time. It is available in three different colors, blue, pink and green. It teaches the kids skills including:
- Food & Nutrition
- Gross Motor Skills
- Health & Hygiene
It also gives them some responsibility. You know how all kids want a pet at some time or another, they can learn by taking care of their pet by feeding them and watching them play.

Fit Made Fun sounds like a great way to get the kids up off the couch and off the electronics. A little fun exercise each day will help in so many ways.
