Easy Vampire Ding Dong Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 box of chocolate ding dongs
  • 1 1/2 C powder sugar
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/2 tsp cream of tarter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Black and red gel food coloring
  • 3 small bowls to mix the coloring
  • 3 disposable piping bag with a number 2 tip
  • 1 package of edible eyes

Instructions

  1. Unwrap the ding dongs and place them onto a cookie sheet fitted with wax paper.
  2. Using a standing mixer add in the powder sugar, egg white, cream of tarter, and vanilla.
  3. Mix on medium speed for about 5-6 minutes.
  4. Once stiff peaks form, scoop the icing into 3 bowls and add in a few drops of black food coloring into one bowl to make grey icing.
  5. In the second bowl, add in a few drops of red food coloring and mix.
  6. Leave the third bowl white.
  7. Scoop the icings into a piping bag, one for each color.
  8. Pipe the face lining of the vampire and fill in.
  9. Place two edible eyes on the face.
  10. Take the red piping bag and pipe a line for a smile.
  11. Pipe on two fangs.
  12. Let harden for an hour or two before enjoying!
