You’re a mean one Mr. Grinch – well, unless he is drinking his Grinch Punch, that would make anyone happy! An easy recipe that will make little kids and big kids alike feel happy.
How The Grinch Stole Christmas is my all time favorite Christmas cartoon.
So it’s only fitting that we share a Grinch beverage recipe. If your family are true Grinch lovers then they can also get together to make some great Grinch Ornaments while sipping a Grinch Cocktail.
This can be a family event by the fire – watching the Grinch, making Grinch ornaments while you have a cocktail and the kids enjoy this great Grinch drink.
The recipe below makes 2-3 drinks.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Hawaiian Punch Green Berry Rush
- 2 cups 7-Up or Sprite
- Vanilla Ice Cream
- White Frosting
- Red Sanding Sugar
- Sour candy hearts, for garnish
Instructions
1. Place a light layer of white frosting around edge of glass.
2. Place red sanding sugar on plate and swirl edge of glass in sugar.
3. Add the Hawaiian punch and 7-Up/Sprite to a pitcher and stir to mix well.
4. Pour the Hawaiian Punch and 7-Up mixture into your serving glasses filling each glass halfway.
5. Place several scoops of ice cream into each glass
6. Top with a sour cherry heart
While of course any straw would be fine, I particularly love these paper straws with red and white stripes that just bring that holiday feel into the drink! They do have them in green and white too – but I love the pop of color the red brings.
