While at SheCon 2012 I had the pleasure of meeting Heather from Bona Hardwood Floor Cleaners. I have been searching for over 2 years now for an easy way to clean my hardwood floors. Yeah, the floor manufacturer says you have to use their floor cleaner. Baloney!
We have hardwood pretty much in over 1/2 of our house. It’s in the living/dining area and in the master bedroom. That’s a lot of hardwood! It’s almost like a dark cherry looking color and not the best choice with a husky. Every bit of dog hair shows up everywhere. It has to be mopped everyday.
Another problem is my husky is on medication which makes her drool like a water spicket. You could always see where she laying or drooling because it turned white. They said it had something to do with the acid in their saliva. So we had to strip the entire floor.
After getting that done, the floor was ready for some new cleaner. And because there is so much floor we needed something easy. After speaking with Heather at SheCon, she was going to speak with her technicians back at headquarters.
She then sent me the Bona Hardwood Floor Cleaner. When it arrived it was super simple to put together. A couple snaps and twists here and there it was done in under a minute.
Now normally when we would clean the floors, my husband would use the mop and I would do the squirting of solution. Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t think it should take 2 people to clean a floor! With the Bona Hard Wood Floor Cleaner, I can now do it by myself or he can do it by himself. We both don’t need to be tied up doing the same thing.
All you have to do is pull the trigger and it sprays, then go over it with the mop and you are done. Because of Chalupa leaving spots all over sometimes it takes a few times of going over before they come off. We did all our hardwood floors and we still had a ton of solution left in the bottle.
I think this way is so much easier than the way we were doing it before. I would highly recommend the Bona Hard Wood Floor Cleaner to anyone that has hardwood. You won’t be disappointed. What I like the best is there is no dulling residue when you are done. I have used some floor cleaners that left the floor looking dull and cloudy. This doesn’t and also leaves no streaking. The pad is machine washable.
You can purchase it online for only $39.99 which is well worth the money. You can also find it at your local home hardware stores like Home Depot, Lowes, Ace and even Target. They also have a lot of different kinds of products that you can check out. You can also visit them on Facebook and Twitter.
After 2 years of trying to find the right hardwood floor product, I finally found it.
