Erie County Fair Western New York
We had the pleasure of attending the Eden Corn Festival this year, along with the Erie County Fair. I don’t know which I like better. We have been going to the Erie County Fair in Western New York since I was a small child. And when I go, it makes me feel like a big kid.
This year, I had the pleasure of going with my son, daughter in law and grand kids, while they were visiting. We had fun. I watched the kids ride the rides, we watched the fireman’s parade for a little bit, then we went home. I was exhausted. They stayed for the fireworks, but I was just too darn tired.
We started out by checking out all the animals, cows, chickens and llamas. Then we headed over to check out the tractors and train. My grandson loves that stuff.
We had a lot of great food to eat. We always go for the baby spuds, italian sausage sandwich, fried bologna sandwich, sugar waffles, Chiavetta’s Chicken Dinner and birch beer. Yum!
We met up with a few of our friends and just stood around and chatted. We also got to see a free concert, the original tribute band to the Eagles. They were pretty good and sounded just like them.
The Erie County Fair runs from Wednesday, through the following Sunday. We used to love to go to the truck and tractor pull and the demolition derby, but didn’t get a chance this year.
All in all, we had a great time and hope to be able to do it again in the next couple years. Have you been to Western New York? What places have visited?
