Thanksgiving Burlap Table Runner ~ Quick and Easy!
Thanksgiving is just a couple days away and since I don’t have any of my stuff here, I wanted to make it feel a little more like home. I found a plain burlap table runner for $6 at Hobby Lobby but you could always just a plain piece of burlap if you wanted to. That was really my original intention but I didn’t have a lot of room to work with. I picked up a bottle of orange acrylic paint and a couple sponge brushes along with some stencils.
I spread out some newspaper in case it ran through, spread out letters, I wrote ‘give thanks’ but you could put anything you really wanted to. I sponged the paint on one letter at a time. I let it dry over night and it was done!
After looking at it the next day, I decided to cut out some leaves and sponge them on too. Quick and so easy that the kids can even do it. You can also make it more memorable by placing the kids handprints on it.
I added a candle filled with cranberries and a little turkey made out of pipe cleaners, a baggie and candy corn along with a “Things I am Thankful For” list for guests to write on.
Have you made any Thanksgiving Day crafts?
