Smurf Popcorn Recipe!
The new movie “Smurfs: The Lost Village” will be hitting theaters this Friday, April 7th and the kids and I cannot wait! So we came up with a Smurf Popcorn recipe to snack on while we wait for Friday!
Yields: 6 cups
INGREDIENTS:
6 cups popped popcorn – plain (no butter)
1/3 cup Wilton bright white candy melts
1/3 cup Wilton blue candy melts
2/3 cup mini marshmallows
Royal blue sprinkles
Bright blue sprinkles
DIRECTIONS:
1. Line a 10 X 15 baking sheet with wax or parchment paper.
2. Pour the popcorn onto the baking sheet, in a single layer.
3. In a double boiler pan (or Wilton candy warmer), heat the white candy melts under medium heat. Stir occasionally until melted and smooth.
4. Drizzle the melted white chocolate all over the popcorn.
5. Sprinkle the royal blue sprinkles on top of the melted white chocolate.
6. In a double boiler pan (or Wilton candy warmer), heat the blue candy melts under medium heat. Stir occasionally until melted and smooth.
7. Drizzle the melted blue chocolate all over the popcorn.
8. Before the blue chocolate hardens, generously scatter the mini marshmallows on top of the melted chocolate.
9. Sprinkle the light blue and dark blue sprinkles on top.
10. Chill for 20 minutes to allow all of the chocolates to harden.
11. Break into pieces and ENJOY!!
*Store in an airtight container up to 2 weeks.
