Reindeer Cookie Pops ~ Creating Holiday Memories!

Making Reindeer Cookie Pops with my grandkids is creating holiday memories that will last us all a long time. Plus we are spreading cheer throughout our neighborhood.

One of the things we do every year during the holidays is make cookies. I used to go all out and make dozens of different types of cookies, all from scratch. Those days are over with! Why should I when it’s way easier to grab a couple of Betty Crocker cookie mixes while I’m shopping at Publix!

You can make them as they are or how about some reindeer cookie pops? Easy to make and a great way to spread cheer! I like to make cookie gifts for our neighbors and have the kids deliver them. It always seems to put a smile on their faces. Cookies also make a great gift idea for the mail man, delivery men, paper boy, etc. And what better way to spread cheer around your your neighborhood.

Ingredients

  • 1 pack of Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix.
  • Red beads for the noses.
  • Any other color beads for the eyes.
  • Small pretzels for the ears.
  • Sucker sticks.

Instructions

  1. Make cookie mix according to directions with 1 egg, 1 stick of softened butter and 1 TBS of water.
  2. Mix well and make balls. I made my balls about tablespoon size.
  3. I placed 6 on a cookie sheet so I had plenty of room for the ears and sticks.
  4. Place the pretzels in place and press the dough around them.
  5. Place the sticks under the dough and wedge it so that the cookie bakes around them.
  6. Bake at package temperature until lightly brown around the edges.
  7. As soon as they come out of the oven, press beads in for eyes and nose.
  8. I placed my in the freezer so they hardened quickly.
  9. Place them in a gift box and spread cheer!

I placed some of the chocolate chip in a plastic bag in the center of the box after placing some tissue paper in it and placed some reindeer cookie pops around the center chocolate chips. Then I printed out some of the spread cheer gift tags on the Betty Crocker site.
