Recognize Influential People with an OGO J.A.R. ™!
Joining our 5th annual Holiday Gift Guide is the OGO J.A.R. I bet right now you are thinking to yourself…what in the heck is an OGO J.A.R.™! Am I right? Or maybe you’ve heard of it but wasn’t sure what to do with it. Don’t worry, I thought the same thing when I first heard of it. But upon researching it a little bit, I thought it was a fabulous idea!
OGO stands for “O Great One” and J.A.R. kind of stands for jar because it is a jar, but actually means “Jackpot of Acknowledgment and Recognition”. Who knew? A keepsake J.A.R. with a customizable lid, filled with 50 pre-cut message strips for writing personal messages, 3 design markers and a chalkboard label.
So now that we have that out of the way, you probably want to know what you do with it! I’m sure there is someone in your life that you’d like to acknowledge for being an outstanding teacher, co-worker, boss, family member, friend or even a coach. They are great for birthdays, holidays, special occasions such as retirement, anniversary or graduation.
I am a better at writing things than saying things especially to convey my feelings. I’m a visual person and must see it.
Developed by David Novak, he got the idea when his daughter gave him a jar filled with paper strips full of funny stories, memories and kind words from loved ones. He was touched and an OGO J.A.R was born.
My Thoughts on the OGO J.A.R.:
I think the OGO J.A.R. would be great for a wedding or even a child’s birthday. Display it at a wedding near the guest book and have everyone write down a memory of either the bride or the groom. Or take one with you to a first birthday party and start a tradition where everyone in attendance write down something special about the child. Do this every year on their birthday and give it to them on their 18th birthday.
I think I will get one for each grandchild and write down one or two or three things they did each year that made me smile and give it to them on their 18th birthday.
With the OGO J.A.R, there are so many possibilities but I’m sure you will think of something to do it or someone to give it to that deserves some acknowledgment and recognition.
You can purchase the OGO J.A.R. online as well as other merchandise. Connect with them on Facebook and Twitter.
David Novak has had Type 1 Diabetes since age 7. OGO will donate 100% of profits from the book, O Great One!, and 10% of profits from the sale of merchandise to the Wendy L. Novak Diabetes Care Center and other charities leading the fight against diabetes.
