How To Make Chocolate Covered Pretzels
Promise this recipe will be totally painless! With minimal ingredients needed and just a touch of patience in the design process – I am pretty sure this will be more fun than you think. A great recipe to get the kids involved in too if you are looking for something easy and fun for them to help with.
Ingredients
- 1 pkg. Pretzel Rods
- 1 Wilton Candy Melts Drizzle pouch, White
- Wilton Chocolate Candy Discs, White, Blue and Red
- White Star Sprinkles
Instructions
1. Melt the white and red chocolate in separate bowls in the microwave. Heat for 30 seconds at a time, stirring in between time, until melted.
2. Dip pretzel rods about halfway into the melted chocolate. Dip some in white and dip some into the red. Let harden.
3. Melt the blue chocolate the same way as the other colors and dip each pretzel into it about halfway down the red and white chocolate. Immediately sprinkle white stars onto the blue chocolate while it is still wet. Let harden.
4. Heat the drizzle pouch per package directions and put white strips on the red part of pretzels.
5. Put some of the red melted chocolate into a baggie, snip off a corner, and pipe red stripes onto the white part of pretzels.

Chocolate Covered Pretzel Options
Although I made this recipe for the 4th of July, you can make these pretzels any time of year! For Christmas you can do red and green and use accent sprinkles in tree or angel shapes. For Easter use pretty pastel chocolates with bunnies and chicks as the candy accents.
