LeapFrog Word Whammer!
Along with the LeapFrog LeapPad Platinum and Imagicards came the Word Whammer. The suggested age for it is 4+ so I don’t think Aubrey quite has the concept of it yet. Noah is one and loved it because of the sounds it made.
The Word Whammer gets kids ready for kindergarten. Aubrey has two years to go but still wanted to try it anyway. It moves really quick and I even enjoyed playing it. Thank goodness no one took my picture. 🙂
It has 3 action packed games and 5 learning levels that adapt as children play. The Word Whammer gets kids jamming on phonics skills as they spin, push and twist the handles to identify letters and build words.
How the Word Whammer works?
It works by thrusting the handle to blast a rocket into letters to spell more than 100 words. Match upper and lowercase letters by spinning the handle to bump a car into the correct answer. Listen for a letter sound, then twist the handle fast to spin the teacup into the letter that makes that sound. The learning adapts automatically as children play, keeping them challenged, motivated and having fun as they progress through 5 levels.
I think that in another year, Aubrey will get the hang of it and will master it. You can purchase the Word Whammer on Amazon.
