Halloween Horror Nights 24!
As part of the Facing Fears Together event, Halloween Horror Nights 24, at Universal Orlando, was one of things we had to do, thanks to Toni and Melissa of Two Traveling Moms. I’m not sure what possessed me to sign my husband and I up for this…but I did! I am NOT a fan of haunted houses of any kind including Halloween, Walking Dead, Dusk till Dawn and Dollhouse of the Damned? What? Wait! There are 8? Count ’em…8 haunted houses and we went through all of them!!!!
You are not allowed to take pictures inside any of the houses but are allowed to take them throughout the Scare Zones: The Purge: Anarchy, Face Off – In the Flesh, Bayou of Blood and MASKerade: Unstitched. However, you just want to get through the areas so quickly that I really didn’t take that many…sorry. I definitely would not have been able to take pictures inside because that’s kind of hard to do with your eyes closed.
And don’t think you can get away without coming face to face with anyone in the Scare Zones….not happening.
Thank goodness it was still a little light out when we started out.
Don’t get to comfortable because just when you think it’s safe and you have to move out of the way for a truck coming through…..this happens!
Yeah, that alone gave me nightmares the entire weekend!
Out of all the haunted houses, I think the scariest was The Walking Dead. It is Halloween Horror Nights 24’s largest haunted house with the most ‘scarecters‘ in the house at one time being 60, ready to jump out at you from out of nowhere, waiting for you around every turn…when you least expect it and scare the *!$@ out of you. And to think..I have never seen The Walking Dead.
But then again…the Dollhouse of the Damned was scary and I will probably never look at another doll the same way again. Where the walls are made of doll parts and the dolls are made from porcelain, hand knit dolls, marionettes, and more.
AVP: Alien vs. Predator is another great one where you enter into a research facility where the predators kind of invaded that space. I don’t want to give too much away, so let’s just say go and buy your ticket before it sells out!
Ahh, Halloween..every one knows Jason, aka Michael Myers….or do they? That was a very interesting and scary house, and I say that just from looking at the outside as seen below compliments of Melissa from MomLuck.com…wait until you get inside. You will find yourself racing to get ahead of Michael‘s murderous knife as he slashes at his victims and you. mwahahaha
If you need a little something before or after visiting the houses…you can always stop and pick up a little something from one of your favorite nurses!
We had the pleasure of seeing Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure which was funny with some hunky men and sexy women (from my husband’s point of view) and gave us time to relax from the running and fast beating heart a little bit in between some of the houses. Party on as those two most excellent dudes return to skewer the biggest stories of the past year with the biggest names in pop culture.
Halloween Horror Nights 24 at Universal Orlando runs through Nov. 1st on select nights. It is a special ticket but can be added on to your day park ticket. It is not recommended for children under 13 and having been through it I can see why. Chucky says “buy your ticket today!” Connect with them on Twitter.
Have you ever been to Halloween Horror Nights? What did you think?
