Stay at the Grand Hyatt Buckhead when visiting Atlanta, GA.
We just returned from a 4 night stay at the Grand Hyatt Buckhead in Atlanta, GA while attending the Type A Parent Conference. We have visited Atlanta once before but did not stay at the Hyatt. The room was equipped with a king size bed, desk, TV, chair, refrigerator and safe. However, I was a tad bit disappointed that there was no microwave. Sometimes, we like to bring a quick snack with us that we can heat up. It’s not uncommon lately to come across hotels without a microwave.
The Grand Hyatt has a swimming pool, sauna’s, workout room, business center, restaurant, bar, gift shop and a shuttle that will drive you and pick you up within 2 miles. We had the pleasure of getting a shuttle to and from the italian restaurant, Brio, down the street which by the way has excellent food.
It does have a parking ramp located across the little street but does have a daily parking fee. The Grand Hyatt is pet friendly, for an additional fee, and would love to have had our dog with us to experience the benefits that they provide for your pet. I heard that they will provide your pet with a pet bed and water bowl and also has a special section on the room service menu just for dogs.
I did not see a hot tub and I believe the pool closes for the winter months. Something to keep in mind when booking your reservation. The bed was exceptionally comfortable but we were located at the front of the hotel and did hear some road noise.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay and would definitely return for the conference next year.
