Chocolate Marshmallow Movie Munch!
We love having movie night at least once a week because it gives everyone time to unplug and spend quality time together and also to enjoy a good laugh or even a good cry together. But we don’t just sit down and turn the movie on. Since it’s a special night, we prepare for it by creating something special together before the movie.
For this movie, War Room, we created some chocolate marshmallow movie munch. It was simple to put together and I know that I thoroughly enjoyed it!
On my last trip to Walmart, I picked up all the items I needed for our movie night and movie munch. The Orville Redenbacher 6 pack Movie Theater Popcorn was found in the popcorn aisle, the M&M’S® Chocolate Candies were found in the front by the checkout counters, the Coca-Cola 6-pack, 1/2-liter (Coca-Cola classic, Coke Zero, Diet Coke and Sprite) was found on display at the end of the aisle in soda and the Sony War Room movie is found in the entertainment section. I would suggest checking to make sure your Walmart store has it because our Walmart was sold out and I had to go to another store and everything needs to be one receipt for the Vudu offer .
There is this awesome deal when you buy all 4 participating products listed below in one transaction at Walmart between 12/22/15 and 2/2/16, upload a picture of your receipt at uploadreceipt.com/movienight to submit your receipt by 2/9/16 (Tip: take a picture of this URL now so you remember it later), you will Get a $10 Vudu movie code* by email but only *While supplies last. Limit 1 per person.
Items needed for this offer are:
- Orville Redenbacher 6 pack Movie Theater Popcorn.
- M&M’S® Chocolate Candies.
- Coca-Cola 6-pack, 1/2-liter (Coca-Cola classic, Coke Zero, Diet Coke and Sprite).
- Sony War Room movie.
Chocolate Marshmallow Movie Munch:
As I said before, it really is super easy to make.
Ingredients:
1 container of M&M’S® Chocolate Candies. I made one with regular and one with peanut.
1 pack of Orville Redenbacher 6 pack Movie Theater Popcorn (per person).
2 cups mini marshmallows.
Sprinkles. I used red and green since it is Christmas time but you can use whatever color you would like.
1 cup of semi sweet chocolate chips, melted.
Directions:
Make 1 bag of Orville Redenbacher Movie Theater Popcorn as per directions.
Open the top of the pop up bowl. I poured it into a glass bowl to make it and then put it back in the pop up bowl.
Mix in marshmallows. They tend to melt a bit thanks to the hot popcorn.
Add M&M’S® Chocolate Candies.
Melt chocolate chips and drizzle across the top. You can as little or as much as you would like or even omit it if want to.
Once we were done, off we went to watch the War Room movie. This is a movie that has meaning. It was also a movie where I cried…more than once. Prayer is a powerful thing and I try to teach the kids that as much as possible. It can also help with marriages. One of the phrases from the War Room movie that really resonated with me was “Everyone needs a Prayer Strategy!”
One of my favorite things of the movie was seeing the Answered Prayers photo on the wall. I would love to make one of these once we are in our new home. I already have my prayer room chosen in our new home and it’s going to be my safe room.
Have you taken advantage of this great Vudu offer yet?
How do you make it a movie night?
