I love reminiscing about when I was younger. Sometimes it’s a song that can bring back memories or a person or even some Old Time Candy.
There is a lot of candy that was around when I was young and even when my kids were young that you can’t find in stores today.
But there is one place that you can still get candy from the 50s, 60s, 70s & 80s… still available after all these years!
Some 400+ fresh candies!
And that place is Old Time Candy Company.
When I was offered a box of candy, I couldn’t decide which era I wanted to choose from, so I chose a 4 lb. mixed decade box of candy. It is filled with 70 pieces of candy, 60 different candies with some duplicates. Decade boxes are available from the 1950s, 60s, 70s, 80s or all decades.
It is loaded with candy from the past 60 years. Some of my favorites are the Candy Buttons, Mallow Cups, Nickel Nips and really just about all of it.
I remember this from when I was young. We always seemed to save them but I don’t ever remember sending them in for anything.
How about these? My husband was laughing at me because I originally had them on upside down. Ok, so it’s been awhile since I put them on. I knew kids that used to eat them and also the wax bottles from the Nickel Nips. Not me! I don’t know maybe they were meant for eating.
The neat thing about Old Time Candy is they customize your box to say pretty much whatever you want it to say. They also carry Valentine’s Day and Easter Candy if that’s what you are looking for. In the Easter Candy section, you get a whole bag of Black Jelly Beans! I love Black Jelly Beans! Looking for a specific type of candy? You can get that too if you don’t want an assorted box.
How about Toys you played with as a kid™ – Slinky, balsa airplanes, magic slates, pick-up sticks and many more retro toys and games, still available after all these years. I used to love playing pick-up-sticks.
My favorite candy of all time is the Satelite Wafers. When I talk about them, people usually look at me like I’m strange, most have never heard of them. When I had my snack bar, I would bring a bunch back with me when we went up North. My son still buys them all the time and he even had them at his wedding to dip in the chocolate fountain. Never heard of them? Old Time Candy Company still sells them and are probably the only place you can get them.

I love this kind of thing! Nostalgia is great, and I loved a lot of those candies when I was a kid. It’s too bad my children and I are all allergic to the artificial dyes in the candies. I miss being able to eat that stuff, hah.
