7 Telltale Signs That Prove You’re An Online Shopping Geek!

It’s a well-known fact that online shopping is a “thing” and has been for quite some time. You can buy just about anything on the Web these days, and you can even do so using your mobile phone.

Perhaps it comes as no surprise that some folks believe the death knell is sounding for retail. At least, the bricks and mortar variety. Online stores offer convenient and painless ways to buy the things you need and want. You don’t have to queue or deal with shopkeepers that have attitude problems.

Nor do you have to make a special trip out to buy something. Just a few minutes on a computer or mobile and you’re done. Some places even offer same-day delivery services, believe it or not! Online shopping is quite an enjoyable experience. Especially for those that hate going to malls and navigating packed and stuffy shops.

If you tend to buy a lot of stuff online on a regular basis, you are probably an online shopping geek. If you don’t think you are, these seven reasons might convince you otherwise:

  1. You buy stuff online when you’re commuting to work

Let’s face it. Bus and train journeys to work and back are often boring. One way to pass the time is to fire up your favourite website and buy something new and cool. Or something old and retro, if you prefer!

  1. You take a day off work to wait for your parcels

Ordered a few things for someone’s birthday? Perhaps you want to treat yourself to a new set of clothes? You might be so excited that you’ve booked an entire day off work to wait for your deliveries!

  1. You like a bargain

Online stores don’t always offer the best deals. To overcome that problem, you don’t resort to bricks and mortar shopping. Instead, you scour the web for Amazon discount codes or eBay vouchers, for example. There are plenty of voucher codes available for various purposes – and you know it!

  1. Most of your emails are promotional ones

Open up your inbox. How many emails in there are from people you know? If the answer is “only a few” it’s likely most are promotional messages from retailers. You know, the ones offering things like 25% off or free delivery over £50.

  1. You lose track of what you buy

It’s always fun spending some time on eBay, Etsy or other sites and buying lots of discounted items. You know you’re an online shopping junkie if you can’t remember half the stuff you ordered the next day!

  1. You’re on first-name terms with your local couriers

Do you happen to know the names of the men and women that deliver your parcels each day? If so, you definitely spend a lot of time buying stuff online.

  1. You get credit cards because you get online discounts with them

Last, but not least, here’s another telltale sign. You purposefully take out a new credit card because you get discounts from an online retailer!
