I am UNJUNKING Halloween with @GetUnreal
Well, last night was the big night for the UnReal Candy Party so that everyone could get #UnJunked this Halloween. I had never heard of UnReal Candy but then again, I am always the last to hear about anything. They are spreading the word across America by hosting House Parties.
UNREAL (TM) exists because a thirteen year old boy asked one Halloween why candy needs to be so unhealthy. After an argument with his father, he did a bit of research only to find that candy is filled with bad things like hydrogenated oils and artificial colors and flavors. And what’s worse, he found out that those ingredients don’t make candy taste better, they simply make it cheaper to produce.
Nicky believed that candy without the junk could be made and that it would taste better. And he and his father and brother decided to prove it. And they did.
UNREAL (TM) provides many of the great flavor combinations we love in our treats, but without the corn syrup, without the partially hydrogenated oils, without the GMOs, without the artificial flavors, colors, and preservatives, and with 40% less sugar per serving on average. The key ingredients are responsibly sourced, and the candy is available in the stores we all shop, at a price point we can all afford.
I received my party kit and it’s a good thing my party was the following day because it’s dangerous to have candy in my house. I am a candy junkie. I received Candy Coated Chocolate w/Peanuts, Peanut Butter Cups, Chocolate Caramel Nougat Bar, Chocolate Caramel Peanut Nougat Bar and Candy Coated Chocolate. I couldn’t wait to try them. I started with the Candy Coated Chocolate w/Peanuts and I couldn’t tell the difference between them the one’s with the letters on them. I thought they tasted exactly like them. It’s hard to smile when you have a mouth full of candy.
My husband wasn’t home when they were delivered and he didn’t know I was getting them, so I asked him if he wanted a peanut butter cup. After he was done eating it, I waited for him to say something about it but he didn’t so I asked him “how was it?” he said “the same as always, why?” I said “Got you”. He’s like what are you talking about? He gets mad at me when I play tricks on him. Then I told him and he couldn’t believe they were our normal one’s which we actually just had yesterday.
I started setting everything up and getting all the bags ready. Got to get this candy out of my house (if you know what I mean).
We had my husband, myself, Marcia, Suzy, Mary, Kate, Megan, Tom, Kathy, Carol, Jay and Linda. We just kind of sat around and chatted. I had to keep the candy in the refrigerator because it was so warm outside.
I had invited about 15 people to my party, but you know how it is with kids, something comes up and they can’t come or are late. But that’s okay, if they didn’t make to my house, I went to them with bags in hand. Here we have Christine, Brian, Chase, Shane and Riley.
She actually said that she just saw them at BJ’s today but was afraid to buy them because she didn’t know how they were going to taste.
Here we have a picture of Tom. He said he has been on a diet but was excited when I handed him the bag. I thought he was going to start eating them right there.

All in all, everyone had a good time. Most of them liked the candy. I think the only one that didn’t really like them was the little guy, Riley. He didn’t care for them. Maybe because the letters weren’t on them.
